All the materials you need to make our beautiful cupcake wedding centrepiece can be picked up very cheaply from your local (much cheaper than renting centrepieces from your venue) and once you’ve chosen a wedding theme, you can customise your centrepieces to make sure the colours match.

Making your cupcake wedding centrepiece
Making a cupcake centrepiece is much easier than you’d think – and your guests will be super impressed, especially when they get to pick off a cupcake and eat it! Follow our simple step-by-step instructions to find out how to put yours together.
First things first, take your felt or tissue paper and cut out around 30 leaf-shaped pieces. Then take your glue and stick them all around the top of your vase. Don’t worry if you’ve cut out too many leaves – you’ll use the rest later on.
Next, place your polystyrene ball in the vase and push it down to make sure it fits securely. Then take your cocktail sticks and position them where you want the cupcakes to go. You’ll need two cocktail sticks per cupcake to hold them in place securely.
Next, stick a leaf either side of each cupcake and push it into a set of cocktail sticks (adjust the positioning if you need to).
Once you’ve got a few cupcakes in place you’ll really see your cupcake bouquet centrepiece taking shape!
Finally, add a couple more felt/tissue paper leaves to fill out your cupcake bouquet and voilà – your homemade wedding centrepiece is finished!
We chose green and white to match our lovely Vintage Affair wedding supplies but you can easily swap and change the colours to match your wedding theme – improvise and make your DIY wedding centrepieces your own!
Just don’t make them too far in advance as the cupcakes will go off – we’d recommend making them the day before. Maybe it could be a task for the bridesmaids?!
