There are so many lovely baby shower themes to choose from, but one of our favourites has to be elephants.
Today we’ve used our adorable Umbrellaphants baby shower supplies to inspire you with lots of lovely elephant baby shower ideas. And we’ve even thrown in some free printables to help you keep the cost down. Let’s get started!
Setting up your elephant baby shower
Choose a colour scheme
First things first, choose a colour scheme for your elephant baby shower. We choose these Umbrellaphants Pink party supplies that are pink and white with hints of baby blue and grey.
Stick to these colours for the rest of your decorations and it’ll be easy to keep your baby shower looking stylish and coordinated.
Pick up some themed tableware
If you’re planning on serving food at your baby shower, you’ll need to pick up some themed tableware. Make sure you stock up on all these essentials like tablecloths, plates, cups and napkins, and pick up some baby pink plastic cutlery to match.
Add some table decorations
Next, spruce up your tables with some themed decorations. Not everything has to have elephants on it (you don’t want your decorations looking too busy) so mix and match themed table decs with plain coloured decorations. The latest trend is to scatter balloons across the table – baby pink ones like these would be perfect. Don’t blow them up all the way – stop when they’re about half full so they don’t take up too much space on your table.
Download our free printable bunting
You’ll also need some room decorations and to help you keep down the cost of your elephant baby shower, we’ve made this free printable elephant bunting to go with our Umbrellaphant party supplies. Choose a pink or blue design or mix and match both for an ever cuter baby shower look.
Choose colour-coordinated party food
As for party food, colour-coordinating it with your decorations can make your elephant baby shower theme look extra cute. Cupcakes are an easy one to match with your party theme (just change the colour of the icing) and pink and white popcorn boxes like these would also be perfect.
Fill up a couple of clear bowls with pink and white marshmallows and other pink-coloured sweets and if you really want to go to town, why not set up a beautiful pink candy buffet display like this?
Plan some fun baby shower games
Finally, no baby shower is complete with a couple of fun activities and your elephant baby shower is no exception! Here are a couple of suggestions.
Free printable nursery rhyme quiz
Can you remember how many blackbirds were baked in a pie, or what Little Jack Horner was eating while he sat in the corner?
Download our free printable nursery rhyme quiz and find out! Our free printable quiz includes a question and answer sheet for each of your guests and it’s the perfect way to put your nursery rhyme knowledge to the test before the new baby arrives!
Elephant memory game
Elephants never forget, so put your memory to the test with this fun elephant memory game.
Put a selection of 10-20 items on a tray and cover them up with a tea towel. When you lift the tea towel, your guests have 30 seconds to memorise everything on the tray before you put the tea towel back.
Then your guests have one minute to write a list of everything that was on the tray. Whoever remembers the most wins a prize!
And there you have it – now you have all the inspiration you need to throw a lovely elephant-themed baby shower.
