Planning a New Year’s Eve party this year? Capture memories of your party in a glamorous glitter photo booth!
A DIY glitter photo booth backdrop is really easy to make using different coloured glitter door curtains. Plus it’s cheap and takes minutes to add instant glam to your photo booth decorations!
Here’s what you need:
- Glitter door curtains in your choice of colours
- A selection of photo props and fancy dress accessories
What to do
Start by pinning a silver door curtain on the wall where you want your photo booth to be. This is definitely a two person job so make sure you’ve got someone on hand to help!
A white wall will make the glitter background stand out best but work with what you’ve got.
Next, pin a second door curtain on top of the first one. Your photo booth backdrop can have as many layers as you like, but make sure you cut one layer at a time.
Next, start cutting away at the top layer to reveal the bottom layer underneath. We cut an upside-down V shape to reveal a silver layer under the black.
When you’ve cut away at a couple of layers your DIY glitter backdrop should look like a bit this!
We quite liked how the trimmings landed when they fell to the floor so we left them there as an extra finishing touch.
Such an easy party DIY… but so effective!!!
In fact, this is one of our favourite photo booth ideas for New Year’s Eve. So glitzy and glamorous!
Give your glitter photo booth background an instant NYE vibe with some gold 2017 balloons. Blow them up with air instead of helium if you want them to sit at the bottom of your photo booth like this.
Then leave them out for your guests to pose with for funny photos!
Giant balloons are brilliant photo props – we love this supershape champagne bottle!
Every giant champagne bottle needs a giant glass to go with it!
