Planning a tutti frutti party

Step one – Pick your partyware!

The golden rule of a tutti frutti party is to make everything bright and colourful! Get started with some plain-coloured partyware (we chose hot pink, yellow and lime green) and jazz it up with summery accessories.

We LOVE these fruity honeycomb straw toppers – you could mix and match them with different coloured cups!

Fruit ice cream cone wrappers

Ice cream is the perfect way to cool down on a hot summer’s day! And our free printable ice cream wrappers are a fun way to match your cones to your tutti frutti party theme! Fruit kebabs

Next is a healthy snack for your tutti frutti party – fruit kebabs. All you need is some wooden kebab sticks and a selection of fruit. We’d recommend pineapple, strawberries, grapes, melon, satsumas and raspberries to make your kebabs extra bright and colourful.

Watermelon lollipops

This is a really easy summer party food idea. Simply cut a watermelon into triangular pieces and use a knife to make a small slit in the watermelon skin. Slot a wooden ice lolly stick in the slit to turn your slice of watermelon into a lollipop!

Fruit cocktails and mocktails

Fruity cocktails like piña coladas and strawberry daiquiris will be a real treat at your tutti frutti – and if you’re throwing this party for kids, you could serve up the non-alcoholic mocktail versions!

Rainbow fruit cups

This is a fun way to serve fruit! All you need is some clear plastic cups like this and a selection of different coloured fruits (blueberries, grapes, pineapple, satsumas and strawberries).

Fruit lollipops

What about these fruity pops? They’re a perfect match for your tutti fruit party décor!

Step four – Pick some party games!

Last but not least, have some fun in the sun with a couple of party games! We’ve got a whole round-up of summer party game ideas and here are a couple of our favourites.

Pineapple bowling

Put a summery twist on ten pin bowling by using pineapples instead of pins. Line them up and see if you can knock them all down!

Water balloon and spoon races

Put a twist on classic egg and spoon races with this fun outdoor party game. Replace the eggs with small water balloons and if you drop it, you’ll get soaked!

Piñatas

Everyone loves playing piñata – and it’s even more fun when you can take it outside! Pick a piñata and then tie it to a tree branch, basketball hoop or washing line for some outdoor fun! We love this strawberry piñata for a tutti frutti party theme.
