Make some reindeer party food
Once all party essentials are covered, it’s time to start on the food! Here are a couple of suggestions for easy reindeer party food.
Let’s start with the easiest reindeer party food idea of all – gingerbread reindeer!
Simply turn an ordinary gingerbread man upside down, ice on some eyes, eyes, antlers and a mouth, then pop on a glacier cherry for Rudolph’s bright red nose!
Next up is reindeer milkshakes! It’s amazing what you can do with a mini milk bottle and they’ve fast become one of our top party essentials.
All you need is some mini milk bottles (which you can keep and re-use for future parties), chocolate milkshake and our free reindeer printables to decorate each bottles.
Or how about reindeer lollipops? They make a good party food idea or a fun party favour for your guests to take home.
Simply download our free printable reindeer lollipop covers, print them out and attach one to each lollipop!
Put your hair in a reindeer hairstyle
If you really want to get in the festive spirit, you could even put your hair in this funny reindeer hairstyle. Read our step-by-step tutorial to find out how to do it!
Organise your own reindeer games!
What would a reindeer-themed Christmas party be without your very own reindeer games? Perfect for keeping children entertained, here are a couple of our favourite reindeer party games.
Pin the nose on the reindeer
This game is a fabulously festive twist on pin the tail on the donkey. All you need is a picture of a reindeer (if you don’t have a printer you could draw one on an old cardboard box) and some red noses (we’d recommend using red paper with some blue tac on the back.
Each child takes it in turns to stick the nose in the right place and whoever’s closest wins a prize!
Reindeer relay race
If you’ve got plenty of space at your party venue (or the weather’s mild enough to venture outdoors), why not organise some reindeer relay races?
Divide your guests into teams of 2-4 and give each team a pair of antlers. One by one, each member of the team must run to the end and back, passing the antlers to the next member of the team when they get back. The first team to finish wins!
Pass the antlers
This game is pass the parcel with a twist – instead of passing a parcel, everyone sits in a circle and passes a pair of antlers. Whoever’s wearing the antlers when the music stops is out!
Give out reindeer-themed party favours
Finally, make sure you’ve got some cute party favours for your guests to take home as a souvenir of your rocking reindeer party! Here are a couple of suggestions.
Reindeer party bags
Reindeer candy canes
Making these reindeer candy canes couldn’t be easier, and they’re a wonderful treat for your guests to take home and hang on their Christmas tree.
Simply wrap a brown pipe cleaner around two candy canes to hold them together and decorate with googly eyes and a bright red nose. (Take a look at our round-up of easy candy cane crafts for even more clever candy cane ideas).
