What better way to welcome your new little princess into the world than with a gorgeous princess themed baby shower?
This theme is super girly and pretty – perfect for making your celebration extra special for the mum-to-be – and we love how easy it is to give your party a couple of magical finishing touches to make the whole thing fit for a princess.
We’d recommend starting off with our New Little Princess party supplies to cover all the basics like paper plates, napkins and decorations, and then adding your own unique touches from there.
But remember, your princess theme baby shower doesn’t have to be all pink. Why not go for a baby blue Cinderella theme or a purple and green Frozen theme as an equally pretty alternative?
Our favourite princess baby shower ideas
Starting off with some basic party supplies is a great idea as it means all the essentials will be covered for a relatively low cost – leaving more of your budget for the little unique touches that will make the party extra specially memorable.
In addition to your basic tableware, we’d recommend picking up:
- New Little Princess decorating kit
- Princess baby shower confetti
- Fillable baby bottles (perfect for party favours!)
- Pink baby bootie balloon weights
Themed party food will really put you in good stead as hostess with the mostess but it doesn’t have to take hours to prepare.
If you’re going to be making sandwiches for the party anyway, you can turn them into princess themed sandwiches by cutting them out with our crown cookie cutter. It only takes two seconds to do each one and they look super cute!
Princess cupcake dress
Every party needs a centrepiece and this cupcake dress will certainly wow your baby shower guests! It’s as easy to make as it looks (perfect if you don’t have much time) and you could even stock up on some cute favour boxes to give your guests one to take home. Homemade party favours
It’s normal to treat your guests to a little party favour as a thank you for coming to your baby shower (check out our handy guide to baby shower etiquette) and we think homemade ones are extra special.
We originally made this princess party favour for a Cinderella party but it can be easily adapted for baby showers by putting different gifts inside. All you need is a tiara, a wand, some clear cellophane and a ribbon to give your guests a truly beautiful gift to take home with them. Find our full DIY tutorial here.
