From cheap Halloween decorating ideas to free printables and easy party games, we’ve got everything you need for a cheap Halloween party.

Keep it simple

First things first, keep things simple. You don’t have to spend a fortune on decorations to throw an impressive Halloween party – just stick to a simple colour scheme with bright, bold colours.

As for decorating on a budget, a simple trick or treat banner like this will be low-cost and look great amongst your other party supplies. And instead of putting treats out in ordinary bowls, re-use mini cauldrons like these from trick-or-treat for a spooky way to serve your party food.

Plan a Halloween scavenger hunt

Once all your party decorations are set up, it’s time to have some fun! One of our favourite ways to keep your little monsters occupied is with a Halloween scavenger hunt.

This requires a little forward planning. Before the party, hide our free printable scavenger hunt clues with some small toys and sweets around the house (make sure the hiding places correspond to the right clues). Then give the kids the first clue and let the hunt begin!
