S’mores are a classic American camping treat and they’re super simple to make at home. Plus, kids love ’em.
You don’t even need to toast the marshmallows over a bonfire (although they do taste best that way). Pop them in the microwave and you’ve got a really easy and tasty party snack that matches an indoor camping party theme perfectly (remember ours?)
Just read on to find out how to make them.
How to Make S’mores in a Microwave
Put one marshmallow and a small piece of chocolate on top of a digestive biscuit, on a plate. One marshmallow might not look like enough but trust us, it is! Marshmallows expand when they get hot so if you use any more than one you’ll end up with a big gooey mess.
Put your ingredients in the microwave for 10-15 seconds. As soon as they look like they’re melting, take them out.
Top tip: Use a chocolate digestive to ensure an even spread of chocolate all over the s’more!
Once your s’more is out of the microwave, place another digestive biscuit on top, squash it all together and dig in!
You could serve your s’mores at an indoor camping party like ours – just pitch a tent in your living room, make a fake bonfire using some old toilet roll tubes and an LED candle and bring all the fun of the great outdoors indoors!
