1. Host a bake sale

Organising a bake sale is a brilliant way to celebrate National Cupcake Week in a school or office as everyone can get involved and it’s a brilliant way to raise money.

If you’re feeling competitive, you could offer a prize for the best cake, but if you’d rather just raise loads of cash for a good cause, be a little more lenient and let people bring in shop-bought cakes too. After all, cake is cake! Take a look at our charity cake sale ideas for more inspiration.

2. Throw a Great British Bake Off party

This year’s Bake Off will still be in full swing during National Cupcake Week, so why not host your own GBBO themed party? Just gather your friends round on a night the Bake Off’s on (or watch it on catch up) and serve sweet treats like finger sandwiches, mini Victoria sponges and cupcakes that Mary Berry would be proud of.

Decorating the room like the Bake Off tent is essential so hang bunting like this along the walls room and serve your food on cute vintage tableware. You could even pop one of our free printable cupcake toppers into the top of each cupcake (they feature all the most iconic Bake Off phrases like ‘soggy bottom’ and ‘showstopper’!)
